Prescriptions and policies

Refills are best handled during scheduled appointments. If you need a refill before your next visit, contact the office at least 4 to 5 business days before your medication runs out. Details are in our office policies.

What is your missed appointment policy?

Please call at least 24 hours ahead to cancel or reschedule. Missed appointments and cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are charged a $25.00 fee, which may be waived for emergencies or illness at the provider's discretion. Read the full missed appointment policy.

What happens if I do not confirm my appointment?

An appointment that is not confirmed will be cancelled, and a $25.00 fee is applied to the account and must be paid before another appointment can be scheduled. Repeated no shows or late cancellations may lead to discharge from the practice at the provider's discretion, as stated in our policies.

How are controlled substance prescriptions handled?

Patients prescribed controlled substances are evaluated individually. When a controlled substance is medically appropriate, a signed Controlled Substance Agreement is required, renewed each year, along with regular follow up visits. See our prescription policy.
