Internal Medicine MD is committed to making this website usable for as many people as possible, including patients with visual, motor, auditory, or cognitive disabilities, and our many senior patients.

What we've done

• Used a highly legible typeface (Atkinson Hyperlegible) designed for readers with low vision, and a larger than typical base text size throughout the site
• Added a Larger text button in the site header, so you can increase the text size on every page with one tap or click
• Ensured buttons and touch targets meet or exceed standard minimum sizes for easy tapping on mobile devices
• Provided descriptive alt text for meaningful images
• Maintained clear color contrast between text and backgrounds
• Supported keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators
• Designed the site to work responsively across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices

Conformance target

Our conformance target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We review the site at least annually, and whenever significant content or design changes are made, to identify and fix issues.
